Starting in 2008, the C&IM chapter NRHS has sponsored the Chatham Rail-A-Rama in the Chatham Community Building, 109 W. Mulberry St. (north side of the square) in Chatham. (Holiday on the Square is next door with Santa, crafts, etc. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
The Rail-A-Rama features model trains, books about railroads, both model and real, plus a large variety of rail-related items. Sandwiches and soft drinks are available to quench your thirst and hunger.
The Chatham Railroad Museum is also open for visitors during the Rail-A-Rama.
The 2012 Rail-A-Rama will be on November 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults, children 12 & under are free.
